I designed this afghan in honor of my friend Kenny.  He just loves elephants.  This afghan has a really nice touch in that the ear and tail are made separately and are attached to the blanket.  Kids find this fun!  The elephant's "blanket" is also made separately and attached to the blanket.  You can even leave that part off if you wish!  This pattern is surprisingly easy to make.
